The Good News

Updated: Sep 23, 2022

The most important and best place to start is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ which is the center of the inerrant Word of God.

God is the being Who created all that exists, including every person. He loves every person. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: One God.

God expects perfection from each person. No person is perfect, which means each person will die.

In Love, God made a Way for people to go from death to eternal life. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, as the Bible tells us in John 14:6

In Christ, each person is forgiven of all imperfections; all sins; all evils, and is covered with the perfection of Jesus. This forgiveness is a gift from God to each person.

This truth, Jesus shedding His blood for each person on the cross, and covering each person with his righteousness, gives each person the highest worth; a worth that is inviolable. It makes each person of equal value to one another, as a human being. It means no person should look down on another. This means that no man is, in any way, more favored by God, than any woman, nor more loved. It means we need to treat one another as we would want to be treated; to see ourself in each other person, and act toward them accordingly.

This salvation from Jesus not only gives us eternal life, it gives us equality, as human beings, with one another.

Therefore, there is no such thing as the "headship" of men over women. "Headship" is the idea that God made men at creation to have some sort of extra "authority" over women. This headship idea is man-made and non-Biblical.

The central teaching of the Bible which is our salvation in Jesus, makes each person of equal worth to every other person as a human being. God tells us to love God above all and our neighbor as ourself. (Matthew 22:37-39) If people had done this what a better world it would be.
